FUNCTION

At Silly Bandz™, we strive for excellence and exceed our consumers' and partners' expectations by offering products and services consumers can trust. A programming intern will have the opportunity to work on the development of cutting-edge software and contribute pieces to larger picture projects.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES (Note: Other duties may be assigned)

• Responsible for assisting the programming staff in overall computing activities, under the direction of a head developer.
• Modification of various components of open source software into custom purpose utilities.
• Assist in developing a cloud-like system for processing queries.

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE

• Work on any significant C++ development project.
• Work with MS COM or XPCOM and Microsoft Windows dynamic link libraries.
• Use of remote protocols (ICA/VNC/RDP).
• Experience with VirtualBox or other machines desired.
• Work with OpenCV.

• Strong typing skills.
• Proficient in C++ programming, Python or other languages.
• Strong understanding of concurrency, multithreading, and multiprocess.
• Knowledge of GDI, DirectX, or OpenGL.
• Basic understanding of networking and cloud systems.
• Familiarity with statistics desired.
• Detail oriented with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Excellent organization and follow-up skills.
• Being adaptable with the ability to work under pressure.
