Marketing and Sales Intern
Job Description
FUNCTION

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES (Note: Other duties may be assigned)

- Responsible for assisting the marketing staff in managing overall business, under the direction of a marketing manager or marketing director.
- Assists in the development and execution of all marketing and product development strategies to assure completion of sales and profit objectives.
- Assists with daily activities associated with managing overall business; including analysis of retail sales, implications of consumer research, and analysis of shipping forecasts.
- Assists in gathering and analyzing data required for the development of the team's long term business plan.
- Will be solely responsible for a project designed to assist the marketing team in business growth. Project requirements include research, analyzing data, formulating recommendations, and presenting recommendations.
- Works with marketing management to prepare and present marketing plans, in addition to other internal and external presentations.
- Assists in activities relating to public relations, advertising, packaging, etc.
- Assists marketing staff as necessary.
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE
- Candidates must be pursuing or have recently completed (within the last six months) a bachelor’s degree in business, marketing or other related field.

- Ability to build and maintain rapport with internal and external customers and handle situations with tactfulness.

- Utilization of an office desk; sitting, reading, listening, and speaking with the ability to move intermittently throughout the day.
- Must have the ability to sit at an office desk for long periods of time within close proximity to telephone and PC.
- Strong sensory skills, such as good eyesight, good hearing, and dexterity.
- • Ability to operate standard office equipment.
